4 week old wants to be held all day. Do you hold them or let them cry? I can't do anything and arm hurts so much from holding the baby.

It's normal.
Give your baby a tight swaddle.
A good, supportive carrier helps.

Sit. Rest your arm on a pillow or blanket

Is he hungry? Try giving a two ounce bottle and see if he's more settled.

If possible, find someone to hold your baby a little to give you a break

Def don't let cry.
Is baby hungry? Can be going through growth spurt.
Need a burp?
Try a paci.
Buy a baby carrier (I did that by my latest baby).

You can’t let that age sit and cry

I’d get a baby carrier and just wear baby all day

I definitely hold my babies whenever they cry. And my baby demanded to be held pretty much 24/7, even when she slept. BH she outgrew it to a degree when she turned a year old.

It may seem like forever, but it will pass. She will grow up and then you will have all the time to clean and do other things.

Holding your baby IS doing something.

I know how stressful it is though, to be sitting there just SEEING and THINKING about everything that needs to be done, but not able to do any of it!

I told my sis that a baby is like a prisoner ball and chain. Just cuter.
