about 7 weeks ago, I made a drastic change and cut out carbs.
desperate to lose weight, I am quite obese.
also doing intermittent fasting and drinking a lot of water.

I lost about 12 lb in past 6 weeks.

Firstly, past week I haven't really lost weight, wondering why. same diet.

Secondly, my face is HUGE and I would love for it to slim down even a bit. Why am I not losing weight on my face? Mostly lost weight around midsection.

Round face or moon face can be a symptom of cortisol issues (aka cushings or subclinical cushings)

Not really a round face or moon face, but my face has always been very chubby as a kid, and now huge double chin/neck

I lose weight on my face the first, my stomach the last, go figure.

Thats what I used to have. intermittent fasting helps lose in the stomach.

Dieting might not be doing it, you probably need to integrate some exercise and cardio so that you sweat and tone

Cutting carbs initially causes quicker weight loss as the body doesn't need to hold on to as much water, and that is often in the mid section. After the first few weeks it's normal for weight loss to slow down but keep at it and bezH you'll continue to see success!
Exercise can help speed your metabolism but diet is the much more important and effective piece.

Hatzlacha! It's hard but keep it up, you can do it!

You are doing very well.

Seven weeks is not a long time.

Set your mental time frame to one year. Evaluate in one year.

There will always be plateaus. Normal.

Your body will allow weight loss for a while, then stop to think about it. "Is this safe?" it will wonder. That is normal. Just keep doing the right things, that worked, and it will start losing again.

It's alive, not a machine. A machine acts consistently. A living thing has a lot more going on and won't always act consistently in a mechanical way.

It is admirable that you are taking care of yourself.

Ive been on a weight loss journey. Lost 30 lbs but my face is only losing slightly, I feel like. It's slow but I'm hoping in the end my face will get thinner eventually.

The first place to gain is usually the last to go.
You're doing great! Keep in mind the body holds onto more water during periods so weight loss won't show up but could show up the next week.

Health wise losing in midsection is best so that’s really good!

You might just have a big face genetically.

With the right wig, a round face can look fine. Nothing intrinsically bad about a round face, which you may just have. Make up the eyes quite strongly, paler lipstick, no blush. No earrings or necklace. Instead, a large bright pin or brooch at the shoulder of your top.

I lose first in my face. I wish I’d lose in my midsection. Where your body holds onto fat cells is a nature. I know someone who’s extremely overweight and has a thin face and someone who’s at most a size 4 who has a terrible double chin. Keep eating healthy op. You’re doing your body a big favor and it’ll reward you. You might have to get used to the fact that you don’t have a thin face.

Thank you all for your kind words of encouragement.
This was a huge drastic step for me and I have been working SO SO SO hard, with BH 100% commitment, and not one cheat.

I have always been extremely overweight and it's been a lifelong struggle, so your words of encouragement literally brought tears to my eyes.
