We just bought this in Israel but we can’t work out how to work it. It doesn’t seem to lock when you lift it it comes off the base. Any ideas? (Box and instructions were discarded before packing to make room 🤦♀️)

Have you tried moving the switch between שבת and חול and seeing g if that makes a difference? I think it is supposed to lock onto the base on the שבת setting.

I used to have it. You have to match the arrows so the magnets attach the base to the kettle. (Could be there is also a switch I had a few types) Then boil the kettle and whilst boiling pressure the Shabbos button the light will go on. It will finish boiling but the little light will stay on indicating the heating elements is on (Shabbos mode)

We had this for a few weeks. It NRVER lined up correctly. And when it did, it NEVER stayed attached to the bottom. The water was also not as hot as we liked. We got rid of it.
