Any ideas of organizations that give out financial help? To help cover cost of living after unexpected hardships

Ask your rav, most rabbonim have a fund for struggling congregants.

We have given about $5,000 a year to different relatives. They call us, tell us their situation and how much money they need because of ___. Then they always call back a few months later to let me know how much we helped them. I suggest you call your relatives, aunts, uncles, cousins. Of course, they send us nice Mishloach Manos.

Not everyone has wealthy relatives or feels comfortable asking for money

Have you tried your local community office to help you get on government programs?
