A frum man in my office used it to me recently to describe an investment. I was a little surprised but took it in stride. I don’t think it was meant inappropriately at all and I’ve definitely heard it used many times in the mainstream business world.

Well, technically, it's always an adjective.
But I dislike when people apply it to everyday things. I think it's tacky.
