The housing market in monsey is insane. I'm looking to buy in the outskirts of monsey like Chestnut Ridge, airmont, New city... and the prices are beyond insane. An old high ranch goes for 800,000 and above. Even with a 200k down payment, the monthly payments are 5k-8k.

I agree, housing prices in Monsey are insanity. That's why were in an old rental.

I'm soooo frustrated. There was a house listed for 735,000 that we wanted to buy it, and it was sold for over 750,000. It was under 1500 square feet!

What specific blocks/neighborhoods have you looked at in new city?
