I need shoes that are comfortable for walking or long wear but still look fashionable and pretty. I don’t want to look old or shlumpy. I can’t wear vsneakers cause my feet sweat too much and it ends up being really uncomfortable for me. And recommendations?

Ara is great but expensive. Clarks is also comfortable. I recently got shoes at the hopscotch sale (if you can get there) are high penny loafers that feel like sneakers and I feel like I won the lottery. I don’t need anything else for Pesach lol!.

They make antiperspirant for feet that helps, maybe would enable you to be more comfortable in sneakers? I use gold bond brand

I love a good slip on sneaker, I've been wearing various Steve Madden slip-on sneakers for a few years now.

This is a similar idea, Steve Madden used to have one like this but it's not available any more:

I'm not sure if they're fashionable, but I have these skechers slip-on sneakers that I wear everywhere.

If you do an internet search "dance contest shoes" you will see a lot of nice looking shoes that HAVE to be comfortable, because the women are ballroom dancing in them. It's not ballet. It's various other dances. Low heels.

(If this is proper.)

My personal fashion attitude is that it's the kiss of death to be caught trying.

Huge, huge, high heels sure catch everybody's eyes, but to me it's Trying Too Hard, and gives off an icky vibe. A stupid vibe. Uneducated. Gauche. Meaning, in a frum community. That stuff might be normal in the larger secular world but not in a frum setting. It's like a ham and cheese sandwich, there. What? Vos? Who do you think you are kidding? We know you are frum. Married. What's your point?

Looking great MUST seem as if you were born that way. You weren't, you put a lot of thought into your personal style, but done right, it has to look as if it's part of you and just normal for you, like an organic skin. You. Just plain you. Not 'fashion' at all. Just you.
