I’m not tealblue. But I use cottonseed for baking. Olive oil has too strong a taste for me.

Cottonseed oil is great for making mayonnaise. We use it one week a year.

In America, we ate cottonseed oil but since moving to Israel, we were told that the minhag here is not to use cottonseed oil if you don't eat kitniyos, so we don't use it in Israel.
We use walnut oil and olive oil.
Potato kugels taste even better with walnut oil!

It's been said before here, but I'll say it again.

Cotton is not considered a food crop by the FDA, so it gets heavily dosed with pesticides.

IMO, it's woth paying attention to how you feel for some time after you consume stuff made with it. I find that it affects me, and paying more for other oil, as well as staying away from processed foods (klp potato chips, for instance) is worth it.

I think palm oil which is found in many klp packaged foods is much worse than cottonseed oil.

I generally use the extra light tasting, but you can’t use that on Pesach, so I just find the lightest one I can find.

I use Gefen or Lieber's *extra* light olive oil for pesach cakes and kugels.

I’ve used extra virgin in chocolate cakes tastes just fine to me. Your tastebuds need to change gradually away from the veg and cottonseed oils then you will never want to go back

No, we don't eat these products either.

And for the other poster, not everyone agrees with Rabbi Blumenkrantz.
We may be more stringent about this though.

I'm in the US and we also hold that cottonseed is kitniyos.
