I’m making Chef Chaya’s crumb cake recipe which calls for 1/2 box of lady fingers. I got a bulk box, so I’m not sure approximately how many lady fingers that is. Anyone know?

A regular box is 4 ounces so if you have a scale you can just weigh out 2 ounces.

See? Another example of shoddy recipe writing. The writer needs to specify actual measurements, as the size of "a box" changes over time and varies from brand to brand. What a true professional would write is "one four-ounce box" or just "four ounces."

A box says 5 lady fingers per serving, 4 servings for box. That makes 20 lady fingers per box.
I guess you need 10 lady fingers for your recipe, that lists half a box.
