Is there a service that provides car seats? If you are there different kinds for different ages? Do they charge for the car seat?
How do I go about ordering a car like this?

I think Ubers with car seats are available only in certain cities. Orlando has the car seat option. I haven’t seen it in NY.

Could definitely be. I live in NY and saw it on the app about a week ago. Maybe it's just starting up.
Could also be that they only offer it if that option happens to be available nearby.

In Brooklyn, have seen the option for car seats on Uber. Costs more. Have never tried it though.

Is that true that in Brooklyn you don't need a car seat if you are using a cab?
That's what someone told me, would like to know if it's really true.

Unclear but even if you don’t need it’s very unsafe.
The problem is you can’t shlep a car seat around when you’re taking an Uber.
I haven’t found a great solution yet.

Official Brooklyn/NYC car service drivers are T&LC licensed, which are officially "safer drivers". According to the law, a car seat is not required in a T&LC driven car.

It doesn't matter how safe any uber driver is. An accident can cv"s happen from a different car

100%.
I was responding to the poster who asked if it's true that you don't "need" a car seat in an Uber.

I have relatives who live in Manhattan and don't own a car. They have a Doona for their baby, but for their older kids (ages 5 and under) they use a special car seat harness that turns a regular seatbelt into a 5 point restraint. The harness fits into a bag that they can easily carry around with them and they don't have to worry about schlepping car seats around or finding a car service that has a car seat available.

Wow I've never seen these kinds! Thank you!
I'm wondering how do I know what stage they are for and if they're safe? I don't know these companies

Thanks! I'm located in Brooklyn
Does anyone know if Uber and Lyft have that option? And is it much more expensive?
I wouldn't want to just hold my child, it doesn't feel safe

Are they specifically on Uber? Not Lyft?
