Me too, in the engagement cake for ds.

Did I mention that older ds got engaged this evening or at least announced his engagement? I think I did but that was in the Israel forum so you didn't see.

Anyhow ds is engaged. Finally!
And as a result we had chocolate cake.

Isn't there a shaileh about wearing crocks or was that put out by the enemies of the faith?

He was such a do-gooder, always fighting for the innocent consumers. I don't know what happened to him. Insanity?

I never heard of that, I guess its been put out by the people who used to sell leather slippers for $65 three times a year?

I remember once there was a thing that Graco strollers have a cross symbol inside the frame so when you bend down to pick baby up, you're bowing... oh gimeabreak.

First of all, Mazal Tov on the engagement!

Chocolate. I'm already thinking about what to make for the holidays, for dessert. Only thinking about dessert. Why can't I just make an all-chocolate dinner? That would be the definition of welcoming a sweet year, wouldn't it?

I had that once actually. My brother requested an all-chocolate meal for his birthday one year, and my mother made it for him on a Friday night. IIRC, there was mole involved (the Mexican sauce, not the insectivorous mammal), and cocoa spice rubs, as well as cocoa nibs in the salad. It was awesome.

I am very impressed with your mother, and with that meal. I'd love a challenge like that.
