What are your favorite type of doughnuts?

I love jelly with sugar on top. Not confectioners sugar but the other type. Yum...

(inspired by YESHAsettler's thread)

jelly with confectioner's (sp?) sugar but I hate eating it cuz it's so messy. Not that it stops me much.

What is custard or what is it that (at least I) like about custard?
Custard is kind of pudding (I just googled and it is made with eggs in contrast to pudding which doesn't have eggs which is news to me.) and it is so sweet and creamy and oh so good!

Jellys I don't like as much.

Boston cream is custard-right? Yum!!!!!!!

You left out caramel and dairy caremel. I think Yossi's sells them. They sell small ones so you don't feel quilty eating it since you only consume 200 calories instead of 400!

I think you are deluding yourself maybe 400 calories vs. 800 calories. If you look at packages little small cookies are almost 200 calories each, donuts have a lot more dough and oil and toppings and fillings etc... they are a fattening proposition.
