OK, I confess. I stopped reading all the threads about this weeks ago, when I first felt stupid (most of my info I learned from thread titles once I stopped reading the actual threads). I read more about Israeli politics than American ones (which isn't saying much). So I wanted to sum up the valuable information to be gleaned on imamother about the candidates.
One is black. One is white.
One has an Arab name and hates Jews and Israel. One has a Scottish name and hates Jews and Israel.
Both love Jews and Israel.
Both are great if you are poor.
Both are great if you are rich.
Both tell lies.
It is absolutely imperative to vote for Obama.
It is absolutely imperative to vote for McCain.
OK, did I pass the test? Does anyone have a great recipe for a good salad when shemitta vegetables cost a week's salary? Or a delicious cake for Shabbos?

YAY!!! I loved it!
BTW, we might be skipping the salad this week, DH is saladed out. There is a great cinnamon/chocolate marble cake in the KBD Entertains cookbook. I can't post it now but it is recommended.

Corn salad. The only actual fresh vegetable you need is a red pepper. The corn and pickles are canned.
Proportions: 1 can of corn, 1 quarter pepper, 2 medium pickles. Mayonnaise to bind.
