I was just wondering, what do you prefer or what do you like more?
(E.g. on pizza, burgers, snacks, meals, lasagna, sandwiches etc etc etc)

I'm not much of a meat person to begin with. So I have a number of recipes with fake meat. My absolute favorite is tacos. Real cheese and you can't much taste any difference in the meat because of the taco seasonings. Yum!

I don't go for fake food. I don't like the taste & I'm allergic to soy anyway.

Truthfully, I never had fake cheese, but I still would rather have the real stuff. Fake meat, blech!! I don't mean anything against fake meat lovers.

I love good cheese and I prefer fake meat to real meat, so I guess you have my answer.

I love cheese on anything and the fake meat I buy is really good. Fake cheese tends to be yuck-o.
Plus, then you can have ice cream for dessert!

I agree. I like fake meat better than real meat. No gristle. Even the word gristle grosses me out.

I like fake meat but for some reason fake cheese makes me nauseous. On second thought maybe it's a pregancy thing because it didn't used to.

As I started this thread I also need to answer. First of all I don't like real meat. Never have. I do, however, loooooove fake meat (the good stuff, not those nasty brands).
I also love REAL cheese. Fake cheese is just sooooo nasty, even though I understand meat lovers (like my husband) have no choice if they want a cheeseburger or "salami and cheese" pizza.
So for me it's easy; fake meat with real cheese. Plus you can drink real chocolate milk with it!

I'm totally with you on the fake meat, real cheese. What do you consider the "good brands" of fake meat?

tival is pretty good, especially the schnitzle. I like that better then real schnitzle! I don't have it with cheese, but with mashed potato with butter.
hate fake cheese. Actually, I can't bring myself to taste it.

I am a big fan of morning star farms fake meat. they have good stuff and it is mostly low-carb, which helped me a lot during my pregnancy with Gestational Diabetes. I love it with melted cheese. yum.

I just cannot make myself cook something like fake meat smothered with parve cream. I know it's theoretically kosher but cannot stomoch the thought of it.
Having said that, my family likes fake meat. DS addicted to Tivali veggie sausages, we use Tivali
burgers and Quorn mince a lot. I'm not a big fan of fake cheese, though we use soya milk,
soya cream, kids like having soya custard and soya yogurt after basari dinner. I'd rather
have parve sorbet over parve icecream (though Swedish Glace is not that bad and kids love
Toffuti cuties).

Some fake meat doesn't taste like meat, but doesn't taste bad. Fake cheese tastes like bad margarine.

Neither, but in a pinch, fake meat. Fake cheese I won't use at all, it's like plastic. Euch.
I try to keep my use of pareve substitutes to a minimum--I don't use Rich Whip either if I can help it.

I've made meat lasagna with parve bechamel sauce - using soy milk, and it comes out really well

I did that too, once, but we were both found it a bit weird.
