I ordered a Vostro 2510, not the most technologically advanced model.
They need a part for the screen. It's on back order. It will take them over a month to get it.
I'm outraged. What would you do?
They should have told me that they were missing a part when I put through the order.
I told them they sound like some Mom and Pop business, making the customer wait longer than a month and not letting them know in advance.
Is there a computer agency I can call?

you could just cancel the order.
I've had a similar experience only to find that I received my product way sooner then they had told me. I think they tell you a month because they have to give the maximum amount of time it could take even though it could take less time.

Yes, my experience with Dell is that they usually grossly overestimate the time until the product ships. You do of course have the right to cancel the order at any point until that time (even after).

When I ordered by dell it took a very long time, just as they predicted. If you need it sooner, cancel.
