I don't think this statement is accurate

Newlyweds Gabi and Rivki Holtzberg heeded the Rebbe’s call to bring the joy of their faith to every part of the world. But the world did not respond in kind.

The world did respond...a few terrorists tried to blot out their work, but in reality they failed because of the thousands of mitzvaot people took on in their memories. I know this is a secular publication so "what can I expect" but no, I really think even a secular writer should have realized this...

apart from that quote...you are right Marina...beautifully written....

I was so disturbed when I read the article as it said rivki wanted to be with her babies in israel
why did she have to stay in that god forsaken place away from family and her children

the article also said
1) she was dedicated to her shlichus...it as davka because India is an apparently G-d forsaken place that she had to be there!
2) the sick children had Tay Sachs which involves a complete degeneration of the brain...the children probably didn't even recognize their mother at the final stages, when they were institutionalized, they had lost much of their brain capacity...as the author made clear...the visits were probably more for her than for them...they were not lucid...r'l...

Wow... That was incredibly well written... It still makes me cry... I can't believe Rivky would have been having a baby right now...
