Blast from the past! I used to go to her 10 years ago. She was great but her waiting time was too long!

AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL!!!
I went to her years ago and I still have scars.

If you are willing to travel to the city Bliss Spa gives absolutely the best facials ever.

I know someone in crown heights, she's absolutely AMAZING. she trained in school, with Edita - but is so much more gentle than her, she really takes her time with your face, you don't feel like you're in a factory. Let me know if you want her number, she's very affordable!

yea, I agree. bliss is the best. they have losts of locations, I actually like the one in Soho best.

I didnt realize people can go get facials like at other ladies homes. Ive always gone to storefronts. Are these women licensed? where are they doing it? like do they change a bedroom into a spa room or something??? How do you pay them? obviously no credit cards right?
I personally wouldnt want such a personal relationship with the person giving me a facial (ie going to their house, booking the appt directly with THEM-so if you dont want to go back, it might be insulting), and I like to try different women, you cant do that if its the same lady working out of her own house! Ive never even heard of this before this thread.

http://www.blissworld.com/cate.....49.do

I go sometimes to the one is SOHO - but lately I've started going to 49th and Lex. They are both good.

Bliss is NOT cheap but they are amazing. I like the Triple Oxygen Facial.

http://www.blissworld.com/prod.....e-.do

I usually go for that - and I pay and extra $25 for a citrus mask which takes away the redness.

Main reasons I like bliss:
1) They are a world renown spa - they mess up, there is someone to consult with.
2) The woman that gives you the facial only recommends products, she doesn't actually sell them to you. She just leaves them at the check-out desk, and you can decide what you would like to purchase. There is NO PRESSURE. I absolutely hate when the woman that just gave me a facial starts pushing all her products.
3)I find that many facialists convince you - they say you have to come every month, second month. That is completely NOT true. Facials are not the most healthy thing. Twice a year should be more then enough. I just hate push sales people.
4) Their facial was the one and only facial that didn't leave my face looking all red.
5) LAST AND MOST IMPORTANT - I have NO patients I hate lying down with my eyes closed waiting and waiting for the masks to dry. At bliss after each mask is applied you get a massage for 10-15 min - just to let the time pass. It is like a facial with a mini full body massage. If you hate being in the buff under a sheet and getting massages these facials are NOT for you.

Best of luck with whatever you do choose.

If she is talking about a woman named Chanie, I heard about her that she is good. I never tried her - I am very happy with Bliss.

Does this mean that you're undressed for your facial? Can you please explain? TIA

yup you are, well you can keep your panties (god I hate that word) on, but you put on a robe and when you get in the room, the facialist leaves and tells you to disrobe and go under the blankets (mind you its a nice warm bed) but they dont really expose anything to embarrassing, they will push the blanket down a bit so they can massage your shoulder, but most everything stay covered

Bliss is amazing! defiintly worth every single penny, and the place smells so good, you instantly relax when you walk into the check in area!
