Is it wrong to make a client pay the paypal fees if they choose to pay me via papal?
I prefer a check so that I don't have the fees but some people just prefer to pay via credit card or paypal - is it wrong to pass on the charge?
Does it make me look unprofessional?

I often see ads on message boards from the states and they usually say if you want to pay via paypal you (the client) has to pay the fees. It used to be funded paypal didn't have fees, but I don't know if that is the case anymore. No, I don't think it's unprofessional.

my boss does.

It makes sense since paypal takes a cut of the money. You still want to get paid the same amount.

I give pple an option of how to pay either check or credit card if they want to pay by credit card they see on the payment form which the fill out that there is an extra 2.4% service charge which is charged by a third party processor.
