(I had to put up the full link because I got it wrong the first time!)
Are these sickos insane??? You want him to go...use legal & democratic channels & wait till 2012 & vote him out! I'm counting the months till November, 2012 when I will try to do just that. But this is horrendous. Like Obama or hate him, he is the President. He stays until the electorate decides at the next election. End of story.

I assume you mean this. I think that is the natural consequence of the level of rhetoric from the wing-nut right (and no, I don't think all right-wingers are "wing-nuts"). But when you have professed that the man is going to start a "brown shirt army", take away your personal freedoms, turn us all into communists....is it any wonder people start to think like this?

Well, I'm not surprised, although I do hope Obama finishes out his term and has a long useful life. I didn't vote for him, but I think he is a decent man. And IMHO, it is sad and questionable morally that the U.S. has no national health service.
He seems to be bringing out a lot of latent racism (and with it IMHO anti-Semitism...Ive heard crazies make conspiracy-type comments because he has some high placed Jews. Like Clinton didn't? )..and I think it is fulfilling one worry I had about having a minority president that any criticism of him would be considered to be latent racism...and an even BIGGER worry that the real racists would come out and have a field day.
Anyway...I wish Obama well...but when it comes to his foreign policy...let's just hope he only gets one term...

No right winger I know (& I know some REAL heavy-duty, totally well-read & educated people who understand the issues) & not one of them thinks like this. I bet it's a white supremicist nutcase. I wonder if he was arrested. Should be.

Edied. Nevermind - I thought you meant the things I hear from right-wingers, not "would-be assassins"

I am not an Obama fan but I think killing a president puts the country at great risk. He is a human fine being even though I don't agree with him. That's still not a reason to want to see a person dead. I sure hope he finishes his term. or we'll have Nancy or Harry for president.

They are crazies. Maybe from the La Roche gang, maybe from some white supremest, who knows. Everyone has them. They use to have such for Bush too. Disgusting no matter who does it and why.

You sound just like the people who said the protests against Oslo killed Rabin. I believe the people responsible for this should be prosecuted but see how easy it is to try to make political coin?

Anyone who talks about/plans to assassinate a president is the definition of unAmerican and unpatriotic.
We have the best democratic system in the world with peaceful government change, B"H. Our system worked and Obama was democratically elected. End of story. If you want to end his presidency, then work for his opponent in the 2012 elections.

An "ist" is an "ist"...in reality, not a lot of difference. Black shirt, brown shirt...still a shirt!

They aren't all that far apart. Socialism, what I generally hear re: Obama is more about economics than politics. Fascism is more about politics. Here's a link to as good of an explanation as any.
Yahoo; difference btw. socialism, fascism, and communism
He could very well be both.
Central theme, a centralized government, all for the state ideology.
Here's another interesting link
