I went there on a date with my then almost future DH
It's a very upscale bar. Quiet and dark and intimate, more like a lounge. Not rowdy or innapropriate at all, IMHO.

Les Marais
Kosher Deluxe
Wolf and Lamb
Milk and Honey
Cafe K
Clubhouse Cafe
My Favorite Food (or whatever the heck it's called now)
Bagels and plus (might have a different name now)
It also depends on your definition of "nearby". Within a mile there are loads.

It's extremely hard to find street parking in the Times Square area - and a lot of that is metered parking. There are many parking garages, and they all cost money.

I'm pretty sure they have parking, but you have to pay for it. It'll say on the hotel's website how much parking costs. Or you can call and ask.

There is street parking but it's a muni meter and it's hard to find parking you can try though it's cheaper than a lot.

I found it too loud, it was hard to talk on the date, we had to yell! The rotating part was very cool.
