That happened to a friend of my husband's in South Africa!
A woman dh went to university with is very frum christian, and when someone came to her house to rob it she started praying for him. She was absolutely sincere and the armed robber ended up praying with her and not hurting or robbing her.

thats amazing! gave me chills.
there was something similar in the hamodia this week, a family was held up at gunpoint by two men in South Africa and the mother looked at one of them straight in the eye and said Shema in a loud voice. They backed off and left!!

This is a good example of the famous Chazal:
"Afilu cherev chado munachas al tzavoro shel odom al yimna atzmo min horachamim", even if a sharp sword rests upon ones neck, he should not stop from prayer.
