Sounds like a fulling meal to me. You can add a dessert if you want though but not necessary.

Eating cheese doesn't make me feel that I've had protein. I still feel lightheaded. Eating meat, poultry, fish or eggs does. And surprisingly, corn shnitzel, which is made from soybeans.

Eggs produce the quickest, most complete "proteined" feeling. And I'm not alaways in the mood for them, but they work.

That's interesting.
I sometimes add a bit of cheese to something for the protein.

But the "eggs" gave me an idea. If OP feels it isn't complete, maybe add some hardboiled eggs? Or deviled eggs?

Use whole-grain pasta (or add wheat germ if you think they won't like the flavor/texture of whole-grain) and make the soup a bean or pea soup and that's makes another complete protein in addition to the cheese.

If you really feel like you need fish, add tuna patties -- as a PP said, they taste great with pasta and are also great leftovers.

My friend broke her ankle. I'm sending pasta with cheesy tomato sauce, green beans, salmon and fresh chocolate chip cookies. And plasticware.
