I'm looking for a pediatrician in Flatbush area. I would like one that is open on Sundays and that don't send kids to Emergency room all the time.
Also someone that is more natural, I'm not 100% natural, but I prefer first to try natural things.
And a nice secretary and if is not asking to much not such a long waiting Wink
TIA

I love Dr. Aberback's office as they always have someone in and they do not always push meds the only problem is that at times there is a wait.

Aberback has too many dr's. Resulting in none of them communicating, and not knowing what or who your child is, I have had a dr not put in the chart that my ds was on a certain medicine, having another dr prescribe a medicine on top of what he was on, resulting in ds throwing up.... I found them to be very neglectful with other things as well. I would not reccomend them at all. Try to find a one dr office, who knows you, your child, and all health issues. Again, that office is very neglectful! I know someone whos child is deaf, and they put pass on both ears on the dcjool mefical form, no apologies, just saying " majority get pass". I am sure your child is an individual and should be treated as such. Good luck, and whoever you do chose, may they be the right shuliach...

anyone else knows Dr. Teitelbaum?
I had one doc and she also forgot things about my ds, not important but it bothered me. Also 3 times I needed her on Sunday but she's open Saturday not Sunday and couldn't help me, one time was erev Yom Kipur, it was crazy I couldn't just go to ER, it was very stressful BH I found a dr in boro park that saw my baby and gave him already the medicine he needed. I'm not from USA and in my country the doc are more open minded, like a lot of times my pediatrician open the office for my mom in emergency and would answer her phone call(she had his cellphone) late at night. This is the way I'm used I know her is different. Sorry just needed to vent!!

Dr Teitelbaum is open really late at night too. He's the most caring, devoted dr you'll ever find. He's also the director of Ezra Medical Center in Boro Park. Google him - Jeffrey Teitelbaum

But isnt he a family doctor vs. a pediatrician? If he's a family MD than his specialty is not kids.

Why would someone want that?

He's actually double-boarded. He's a pediatrician AND an internist.

I like Dr.Kevin Norowitz, yet he is not open on sundays. I find that he is great with my son who is now ten months. There can be a bit of a wait, but usually they take you in right away. Pm if you want to try him

Dr Teitelbaum is in his office every day. His days are actually split - mornings in Ezra, afternoons and evenings in Flatbush. I know that he is in the office til really late - I've gotten calls with results etc after 10pm. He is the most devoted Dr you'll ever find. A real mentch.

Me and my DH use him, and our DD does.

I will throw a different name out there. I just switched pediatricians, so I have only been at this one for one visit, but I am so impressed with dr. mordechai betyakov. His hours are from 12-5 everyday. it's in his house. I think he practices in the morning in bp together with a group. anyway, his wife is the secretary and she is so nice. My son was throwing the biggest temper tantrum (three year old) he was sick and coughing away and crying and kicking (he hates going to the dr.) and dr. betyakov came out, picked him up, and within 2 seconds had him giggling. And my dd too! Usually my children are screaming away at dr's visits, and here we are, at this new doctor and he has them laughing! And I was a new patient and I forgot my checkbook and my insurance card and they could have been soooo nasty (I told them about it first) and instead they were like- just drop it off later. So, anyone who can make my kids stop crying is good in my book. the person who recommended him to me said he does try natural things before all the medical stuff. that's why I tried him out. I'm very happy after this one visit. just thought I would share!

Everyone is entitled to an opinion yes aberback has 3 dr's and 2 pas and at times they gave slight different advice ut as a parent who spent monts in the office this year with a child who appears to b'h have outgrown her issues they did get oon the same page together with me and specialists they were not afraid to say its not in their field and when I have called at crazy hours including 1am I got a call back from a dr. I would always preffer someone with my kids record or mine etc rather than a stranger in a clinic. Any questions feel free to pm me. I will answer anything you want but another + to me is on yomtov the non jewish dr is in the office for walkins
