Per your request-
1.5 cups White Whole Wheat Flour
1.5 cups All Purpose Flour
6 oz olive oil
4.5 oz water
half-1 teaspoon salt
It mixes together very easily by hand.
For Apple pie, I peel, quarter and thinly slice about 8 apples. Mix with brown sugar, cinnamon, & cornstarch. I microwave the apple mixture (about 6 min.) to give it a head start so the crust wont get done before the apples.
Bake at 400 for 50 min.
Adapted from The Apple Pie Tree (a kid's book) by Zoe Hall
It has become a Sukkos tradition in our family. It's also good cold the next morning.

The original recipe was for a total of 2 cups, but with a top crust it was skimpy. So I use 3 cups and it is generous. There may be a little dough left over.
also salt amount not clear? The original recipe said 1 tsp. I was afraid it is too much so I use half.

It is not necessary to put in fridge. Do not precook. in fact I precook the filling. I use light olive oil and the taste never bothered anyone.
thanks | You are welcome

That's a lot of fat. Is there fat in the filling, too ?
