by morocan fish, you mean it's made moroccan-style, don't you? chick peas, veggies and spices? cooked on stovetop? is that what you're referring to? (salmon?)

I make the lemon meringue pie recipe that is on the argo cornstarch box. Do you have the box? NAK (nursing at keyboard) and bathing others, so can't post it now.

I have two versions of morrocan fish - one is my mother's (and so it's not so morrocan bc my mom is ashkenazi!) and the other from my sister who is married to a morrocan...try whichever one tickles your fancy!
Not So Morrocan FIsh
Use any fish (I like rainbow or ocean trout) FILLETS!
Fry 1 large onion and 2 cloves of garlic until clear
Add 2 peppers (1 red 1 green) sliced thinly
Add parsley adn coriander (optional)
Fry until softish
Add 2 or 3 heaped tbsp of tomato paste (in AUstralia that's what we call it - it's very thick..I don't know what it is in USA terms)
Add 1/2 - 1 tsp chilli flakes, 1 heaped teaspoon paprika, S&P, 1/4-1/2 c white sugar and 1 cup water.
Bring to the boil until it makes a nice thick sauce.
You can then pour it over the fillets and bake until they're cooked OR put the fillets in the pan and just boil on the stove until done.
You can make this with gefilte fish logs also.
ORIGINAL MORROCAN FISH
For 4 large fillets of fish (eg. 8 servings)
Fry a few whole garlic cloves and thick strips of dark red peppers in olive oil.
Then mix 1/2 c light olive oil wtih 2 or 3 tbsp of sweet paprika, and then add S&P and add fish fillets to this mixture.
Add in chopped coriander - mix and then add to the pan with the garlic and peppers. Add in 1/3 - 1/2 c water and cook on a low flame for about an hour until the water has evaporated and the oil becomes thick and very red.
THen bake covered for 1/2 hour with slices of lemon added to the dish.
Hope this helps!
