what can I do with it?
does someone have a recipe for meat pies?

can I just use it in place of ground meat?

buy mini pie crusts and add some cooked veggies - but it might taste like cholent pie ...

DH's idea - Get puff pastry, flake the meat with a fork, use the top of a glass to make small circles with the puff pastry, put a small amount of meat into the middle and fold in half to make semi-circle, seal with fork on edges, eggwash, bake it, put it into a thick soup such as pea soup. This is similar to what the Dutch/South African do, and is called Perogen (he thinks).
