Do Wool Parkhurst Hats need to be Checked for Shatnez?

Does anyone know if wool Parkhurst hats need to be checked or shatnez? They technically do since they are wool but they're made in canada and say 100% wool on them. I would think that if several people checked and it's known that there haven't ever been any problems that maybe each new one bought doesn't have to be checked?
