anyone know what I could use instead of tomatoe juice, I have tomatoe suace in a can and dieced tometoes? it is for a soup
I am making it now so if anyopne is on now, could u please tell me

Tovah Thanks for the quick reply, I ended up draining the diced tomatoes and using the juice from that, I just used two cans. hopefully it will come out ok....

good luck, I know when I make meat balls it calls for tomatoe juice and I never use it I just use diced tomatoes instead with the juice and it comes really good.

When I make tomato soup. First I make a roux oil and flour. Then take a can of tomato sauce and then fill the can with water. Add a teaspoon of sugar or so. Let it simmer. Yummy and very easy tomato soup. Most of the time I add some veggie to it. What ever is in my cabinet or freezer like aspargus, spinach, mushrooms, even the stewed tomatoes would have been nice. To make the soup chunky. I love experimenting food.

I usually use tomato paste with water and some spices if it asks for tomato juice and it does the job real well
