I just got back from a consultation with an endocrinologist about my just-about 1 year old daughter's low IBF1 levels (growth-related hormone). Basically, she's saying that the bloodwork we took is inconclusive, so they'll have to do extended testing, just to pinpoint what exactly the problem is. So dd is scheduled to have an MRI (with sedation) immediately after Pesach. Then they want to give her daily growth hormone injections for 7 days, followed by more bloodwork. Then maybe they'll know what's going on and take it from there.
Frankly, I'm nervous. Anyone have experience with this kind of thing?

Oops, sorry, my mistake. It's called IGF-1 (not IBF-1). Looks like I didn't quite get it when the doctor rattled it off (along with a bunch of other medical jargon that I didn't understand.)

Whatever. Anyone know anything about this? Please?
