GingerSpice: In general, try and get your jewelry redipped every few years. That way the gold stays strong...my husband redips mine once a year, usually Pesach when he takes a buffer to the it.

I put some powder laundry detergent in hot water (from the percolator) and let it soak overnight. Every time I do it, people ask me if I got new jewelry because it's so sparkling. I don't need to touch it. |
what type of powder laundry, would tide with bleach work?

I let my rings soak in a cup of hot water, dish soap and ammonia for a few minutes then I use a toothbrush to clean them. My mother-in-law was told this by her Jeweler and she passed it on to me.
