Can I freeze homemade Chumus?
I made a big batch of Chumus and really don't want to have to make it every week since I found it to bwe very time consuming (I made it from dried chickpeas and don't have a normal blender so had to make it in batches in a tiny thing...)
Can I freeze half for a dif. week???
TIA!

I froze chumus and it was fine, although I think frozen food in general is not the same as fresh.

I don't see why not. And you just reminded me that I have half a batch of my very first homemade chummus in my freezer. It should probably be used already b/c it's not such a great freezer for long-term storage.

They sell the Sabra brand frozen (in the real large tubs) in some warehouse-type stores.
