I have too much to do, so I told my kids they can have sandwiches or cereal this week for supper. It's only 2 days because last night they had leftovers from shabbos.
Anybody else not making supper this week?

Last night was leftovers plus a quick stir fry (I had cut up chicken cutlets Thursday and froze them; I added them into a pan with some frozen veggies, put in some juice and spices, and served it with plain rice).
Tonight I actually am making a lasagna -- at most 15 minutes to prepare, and I can leave it in the oven for a while.
Tomorrow I'm copping out and doing bagels and lox. I can't remember the last time I did that.

tonight I just made pancakes with maple syrup,
opened up a can of cut up carrots and
defrosted a bag of mixed frozen fruit (grapes, berries, melons) for dessert
The kids went to a restaurant for a late lunch so hopefully that will suffice
I think it's expected that people are going to be having easy to make dinners for the next few nights!

I know the feeling. Last night I made hot dogs on the George Forman. Tonight is the chicken from the soup that I made last night and shabbos leftovers and tomorrow night will probably be frozen pizza.
The kids were complaining for something to eat for lunch.....so sorry...have a bowl of cereal

I hate leftovers and usually am able to plan Shabbos just right to avoid leftovers. This week is the exception. I made extra so I don't have to be bothered and can focus all my attention on getting ready for RH.

This is the extent of my non RH related cooking this week:
Reheating Shabbos leftovers (in microwave)
Fish sticks (in microwave)
Grilled cheese sandwiches (in sandwich maker)
Thank goodness for modern technology!

I cooked (in a manner of speaking) supper all this week. Then again, we are invited out for three meals R"H and the fourth one I will be the only one eating since the kids will be sleeping. Hence, not much cooking for me to do.
Sunday - fish sticks and cheese-noodle kugel from the freezer
Yesterday - spaghetti bolognese with carrots
Tonight - cream of zucchini soup, pot roast and noodles (full disclosure: I cooked the pot roast for YT and took off a few slices for tonight, to show dh what he's missing by going away for R"H. The zucchini soup takes five minutes to prepare and I had zucchini that was going bad.)

I hope you tried the middle and both ends of the roast. . . you need to check for quality throughout!

Also, all the slices that didn't come out so nice. I wouldn't want to embarrass the YT seuda by putting out anything less than perfect slices of meat.
