I am a college educated woman and yet I cannot figure out how to open the playtex sippy cup. All the instruction are how to close it, but none how to open it. It's spillproof, so it has a locking mechanism. I press in but it doesn't really go in and I try turning and nothing, nada!! Don't know what I'm doing wrong. Some help, ladies.

I don't think there's a trick to it, you just turn it and it's supposed open. I also have a lot of trouble with them sometimes and they are really hard to open. Try using a rubber glove to open it.
