Roux or sauce for chicken cutlet

anyone have a recipe for a roux or sauce that I can drizzle on baked chicken cutlets? something like a mushroom sauce but no mushrooms. any recipe with chicken broth/water and maybe flour to thicken it up??

any help would be appreciated. thanks

This is a very simple recipe that I sometimes use for potato borekas or knishes. I've never used it on chicken but seems like it would work.

1 onion
1 cup water
2 Tbsp flour
2 tsp chicken soup mix.
saute onion. Add water, flour and soup mix. Bring to boil. simmer a few minutes.
