Hi all,
I am soooooo frustrated with my son and I know its not even his fault.
He does not stop having accidents all day every day.
He sleeps dry through the night, and was trained for the day to.
Suddenly he started having accident and got lazy, most of the time he doesn't even mention it just lets his underwear get dry.
I need ideas to get this problem dealt with because I have reached the end of my line!!
We have tried punishing him , but it did not help. Neither did bribing him.
I need Ideas asap

my son too....but I think its because he just doesnt want to take the time to stop what hes doing and go to the bathroom. we told him that he cant go to yeshiva next year if he keeps having accidents, and I know that bothers him, but I dont see it making a difference.
I guess the only thing to do is find the right motivator- a prize or a game or some type of food (although I dont really like using food as a motivator)
my idea that im thinking about doing right now is buying him a toy that I know he really likes, and if he has an accident, then it will have to go away until he is dry/clean forx number of days following the accident.

Hey,
I tried telling him that he wont get to go to yeshivah next yeat, that did help at all.
He started crying and saying thats its so hard to stop having accidents.
Tried getting him a special toy and taking it away, after a week he starte djust handing it to me when he made the accident.
I feel like I tried everything!!!

Did you try consistent reminders and leading him to the bathroom at regular times? That is what I do with my 4 year old. It pretty much works.
It's normal for kids to be involved in something and ignore their bodies' signals.
That's what they do in gan - there is bathroom time when everyone tries.
I also wake up my two youngest kids to use the toilet before I go to sleep. It works great.
