my husband wants me to make buffalo wings like in dougie's. I have a feeling their deep-fried, but what sauce do they put on them? anyone know or want to take a guess how they make them?

Most Jewish supermarkets actually sell a sauce by Dougies called buffalo wing sauce if you have that available, it should solve the problem! They are sold next to other chicken sauce, duck sauce, etc.

unfortunately, im not in NY, but thank you.
also- my husband wants them crunchy. I cant remember if dougies breads them before frying, but I assume they do, and that would make them crunchy, ut how can I keep them crunchy after I add the sauce?

I have seen it all over the US, but only in Jewish stores. There are lots of recipes online. You can either fry the wings or broil, but they are usually not breaded. The sauce is supposed to be hot sauce mixed with butter and sometimes spices, but obviously you would have to sub magazine. My dh a recipe once that was pretty good- he fried the wings, then brushed with a mixture of hot sauce and margarine.

Here is a recipe that is for chicken cutlets, but I am sure you can substitute wings.
This is my husbands favorite supper. Tastes just like Dougie's
Ingredients
Servings (people) recalculate
1 package/s Chicken Cutlets
1/2 cup/s Sugar
1/2 cup/s Brown Sugar
1/4 cup/s Honey
1/3 cup/s Franks Red Hot Sauce
Preparation
Cut the chicken cutlets into bite size pieces. Dip them in egg then breadcrumbs and fry them until they are crispy. Mix together the sugar, brown sugar, honey and hot sauce until you have a thick consistency. Pour the mixture over the fried chicken cutlet pieces. Bake in the oven covered for about 20 minutes at 350.

AFAIK, it's usually batter dipped and then deep fried, not breaded.

I made the recipe culinaryk posted (except I used wings) & it tasted exactly like dougies! I would bake it uncovered next time though because they weren't crispy when I covered them.
