Sorry, all my glaze recipes use some sort of vinegar. We have no problem using vinegar for RH as long as the end result recipe doesn't have a sour flavor (and all these glazes are sweet tasting). There's even an article in this week's Yated about the inyan of not using vinegar only is if the end result is sour.

If you don't use lemon juice either then just make it for Shabbos, its not Rosh Hashana then.

My brain has gone on vacation. I hope it comes back soon. Here is a recipe without vinegar for Liba:
11 oz. can mandarin oranges
2/3 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. mustard
Mix and cook up with the corned beef slices.
....and my request was supposed to be for a glaze without sugar.

Our minhag is no vinegar, no lemon juice, so no mustard (vinegar is a major ingredient) either, through the end of sukkos. Will it be fine glaze free?
Thank you all for trying so hard and SarahD for typing that up for me!!

It will be fine glaze free, just boil a bit longer as OOTBubby suggested above. I let my DH try it pre- and post-glaze, and he liked it better without the glaze! And I think it would be fine served cold or room temperature without the glaze, so more space on your plata

corned beef is fine without a glaze, certainly when served cold. You can also heat it up in the water it cooked in (don't cook it in the water, just heat it up) and it makes a great sandwich that way! (though perhaps not very yomtovdig.

We serve it hot, warmed up in the cooking liquid, in neat pretty slices. Very Yom Tovdig!``
