My teenage daughter has had active mono (EBV) for two years now. Does anyone know anything that can help?

I know this may sound very weird, but have you tried coconut oil? I had, what turned out to not be mono, but the doctor thought that I had mono and so I read up about mono a lot and the thing that kept on coming up was coconut oil. I bought it at the natural food store.
It is good for boosting the immune system.
