My 10 year old daughter has been sick with mono for the past 8 weeks. She has not been taking naps but has been complaining of nausea throughout. She was able to come on mini vacation with us, but definitely didn't go on too many rides. She refuses to go to school and has been home the entire time. Im completely at a loss of what to do. Im lookign for advice...

when I had mono I had no appetite and was nauseous, but I also was in my 1st trimester. I can't tell you if the nausea was pregnancy or mono.

If the doctor has not been helpful, a consultation with a good vitamin/ herb person might help.

I feel for your daughter
I had mono around twenty years ago and boy, it was absolutely gruesome. Extreme nauseous 24/7
I told HaShem that if I get it once more I will check myself into a psyciatrical hospital cause I can't deal with life.

Mono takes a long time to get over. Though I never knew that nausea is a symptom. I had headaches, lethargy, enlarged neck glands.

I'm not sure what causes nausea with mono, but she can take herbal antivirals to help put the ebv into remission. Specifically, lysine, monolaurin, licorice, resveratrol.
I'm guessing ginger and peppermint can help with the stomach upset.
