Marinated Salmon Recipe (Pesach version)

Marinated Salmon Recipe (Pesach version)

4-6 slices salmon
1 cup sugar
1 large onion

Heat a little oil and sautee the onion with the sugar until it starts to turn brown. Add your fish.

1/2 cup vinegar
6 T sugar
1 tsp salt
3 1/2 cups water

Combine and add to pot. Let cook another 40 minutes. Serve cool

I sliced two onions and browned it in a cup of sugar, then I added about 5 cups of water 1 cup of wine- sweet and 1/4 to 1/2 cup lemon juice. cooked it all up together andthen added the salmon for about half an hour

I bought a salmon filet (KLP) from Costco today. Should I cook it whole (as is) or slice first into pieces?

Oh well, I already froze it in the juices. I'll defrost, cook for 10 mins or so on the flame, then cool to serve.
I'd slice the salmon before cooking it, each piece will absorb more flavor that way.

If you're planning to serve it in individual slices, they come out nicer when you slice before you cook it as opposed to after.
