My 30 month old son has recently started to use toothpaste when brushing his teeth. Just a pea sized amount. The problem is he doesn't know how to spit it out and swallows it. ( it has fluoride in it. Is this ok?

until he learns how to spit, he should use baby toothpaste that is safe to swallow (WITHOUT fluoride)

We use little kids toothpaste (age 2-7) that has low flouride. I was told to put a rice sized amount on. DS does swallow. I hope that is okay.
