I need a recipe for a good hamentashen dough that can be stretched without breaking. most cookie recipes break, and the ones that stretch are more like bread or yeast dough.
can someone here think of, or make up, a recipe for a dough that wont break when its stretched? and will also taste like a cookie.
thanks

Break? Do you mean crumble?

I think you have to add the right amount of flour and knead the dough again - that is the trick

I know, I always wondered how the bakeries do it, their hamentashen are SO soft, how do they roll it out, fold it, pick it up...
I would say to use a cookie recipe, but add more flour. Then make sure to sprinkle enough flour when rolling out, and then work slowly and carefully. I usually make smaller ones, easier to work with.

I stil don't understand the problem! You are using a sugar cookie type dough recipe, right?
