My kids often wake up with their pajamas wet from soaking through their diapers.
I'm trying to be a little frugal by washing them in the sink, but it's hard to get fleece sleepers to dry fast enough without becoming musty smelling. I know people who do it, but what am I doing wrong? I try to squeeze them out as much as I can, and they are sprawled out on a drying rack. I don't have an exhaust fan in my bathroom.
Any suggestions?

Try spin-drying them in your wash machine so they're almost dry. Unless you have the forearms of a Samson, it's impossible to wring clothing anywhere nearly as dry as a spin-dry machine does.
