I am very sensitive and although I love cauliflower, I sense an odor in the house when I prepare it. Is there any way to eliminate the odor by adding something to the water in the pot or any other method?

I hear what you're saying. Especially as cauliflower belongs to the same family as cabbage.
It's hard to eliminate odour but you can reduce it by adding a bit of vinegar to the water (after it's boiled, it also keeps cauliflower whiter), and avoid overcooking (the longer it's cooked, the more sulphur builds up). Cut into smaller florets so they cook faster, and I find adding some salt to the water also helps veggies to cook faster. But they're delicious.
I'm not really into this, but maybe parboiling and baking them may work?

If u put a piece of bread or old challa in the water whilst boiling thats supposed to work... :-)

I boil the cauliflower and keep it covered the entire time.
