Has anyone used ground flax seed instead of breading?
Like for breaded chicken or fish.
How about using it in meatloaf or meatball recipes?
Can I use it instead of breadcrumbs or matzameal?
Looking to make low carb substitutes

I use it in a mix of ground flax, ground nuts, sesame seeds and spices, sometimes a bit of arrowroot/tapioca flour. I would thinking frying it at high heat would ruin many of the healthy benefits though, you are better off baking with it.

If you make baked schnitzel or fish with the flax seed is it crunchy?
Why do you need to mix it with ground nuts and sesame seeds?
Do you dip it in egg first?o

I always make it different ways so I can't say which is the best and I hardly ever go the breaded schnitzel route, I opt for marinades usually. I always use flax seed meal as an addition to my nut/seed bread and in other recipes, I never use it alone so that is why I can suggest it but perhaps others have tried it out and can tell you.
