My mom was much thinner after I was born than before (not like the day after obviously, but a few years), because she stopped eating in a crazy/lazy no cooking way now that she had to take care of a baby  My father put on weight though 
As for me... we will see...

I went from a size 6 pre-preg. to now being a size 0/2 after the baby. I guess its from the nursing.

not such a simple answer... after #1, I was 2 sizes larger, got pregnant again, and was the same size after she was born (still 2 sizes larger than before my first.) but 8 months later I'm now a bit smaller than I was before I got pregnant the first time.
