2 tbs veg oil divided
4 large eggs slightly beaten
1 bunch scallions cjopped
2 cloves garlic chopped
12 ounces pastrami in thin strips
6 ounces turkey in thin strips
6 cups cooked white rice
1/2 to 1 tbs soy sauce divided

Heat 1 tbs oil, add eggs stirring constantly. Remove from pan and chop into small pieces. Set aside
heat remaining tbs oil in the skillet. Add scallions garlic and turkey and pastrami and saute until scallions are tender. Remove from heat.
stir in rice and egg mixture. Add soy sauce to taste.

I know this is a old thread, but just had a question-
I want to serve this rice on Wednesday night so there is no time to cook it fresh.
Has anyone has experience making this (or any similar) rice in advance, and if yes, how should I go about it? Prepare it altogether and warm in oven? Separate the parts and combine fresh?
How long can cooked rice even last in the fridge, and how do I re-warm?

I've cooked rice on my hot plate on yom tov - put in desired amount of rice with a lot of water, covered, and a few hours later it was cooked. Fluffier than usual, though.

Put it up after the lunch meal and try some before shkiah? I'm not sure if that works. I assume you don't have younger kids? Cuz they are a great, realistic, heter!

I do, but they don't like rice! Don't know if that is counted then!
How about if I eat some because there is no way I will last until 9:30 at night to eat dinner!

I freeze it all the time with great success. Just make sure to reheat it well (in the oven preferably)

-cook orzo/rice/bow tie noodles & drain
- sutee 1-2 onions
-add: 1 pk cubed pastrami
2 TBS soy sauce
1-2 TBS onion soup mix
-continue sauteing few mins.
-add orzo to mixture
enjoy
