Looking for recommendations of where to stay close to a minyan.
What is worth doing or seeing in Prague or its environs. (I don't want Germany)

Prague, Vienna, Budapest, I've been to prague a lot of times, to vienna twice and going to budapest soon.
They say those cities are quite similar, you have kosher restaurants and food in the 3 of them.
Germany has nice places aswell, but if you don't want then not.
In Bratislava you could visit the kever of the chatam sofer.

There is a Jewish Quarter in Prague with a few shuls and at least 2 kosher restaurants. Just stay somewhere nearby and there will be a minyan.

Also, Prague is small and easily walkable, do you don't need to stay in the Jewish area to be within walking distance of a minyan.

Within Prague, aside from all the sights in the Jewish Quarter, there is the beautiful castle, an interesting modern art museum, a museum about Kafka, black light theaters, lovely parks, quaint and walkable roads, palaces, gardens, a nice boat ride, etc.

We went before pesach. It was wonderful. We stayed at the casa marcelo hotel which is two minutes from chabad where there is a Shul and meat restaurant. There are two other meat restaurants and a milk cafe which is really good

On the website www.chabadprague.cz there is a lot of useful info. You can probably email them too and ask. I have visited too and the shlichim were amazing and helpful.
