When you say no sugar, do you mean no refined sugar? Would a little honey be OK? Or no sugar at all? Either way I have some ideas for you. Do you prefer recipes using bone-in chicken, or chicken cutlets?

I prefer no sugar nor honey. I would take any recipe bone in or cutlets.

One of our favorite chicken recipes actually is from Spice and Spirit-- it's the curried chicken recipe using chicken cutlets (not the one with chicken pieces). I use almost double the amount of water it says, though, and I add some frozen peas a few minutes before the cooking time is up. Sometimes I also add a carrot or two, sliced on the diagonal. The carrots need more time than the peas. I serve it over basmati rice (white or brown). It's really good (unless you don't like curry).

Would you use pineapple juice? (Not concentrate.)

thanks so much for your suggestions. Many of my family members are on a food plan. The pineapple juice might be considered a fruit or a sugar, I am not sure. Nevertheless it is a good suggestions for marinating cutlets in. I have tried lemon juice and water with spices but it was a tad too sour!!!

You may want to start a new thread asking for non-sweet chicken recipes. Based on the magazine suggestion thread, you aren't the only one looking for suggestions.
