I have a decantor that was left without being rinsed out. There is mold on the inside. (just a bit) I would like to clean it but don't know how.
It has a narrow neck and then a larger round bottom.
Any ideas?

Soak, shake very well, empty, soak some more.
Then, rinse with rapidly boiling water, leaving the water in there for a bit to really kill everything so it is quite sterile.
I wouldn't use any soap, it might leave residue.

Hot water and soap to fill bottom. Thread in a paper towel. Use a wooden spoon handle or something similarly narrow to push paper towel to bottom, and to use it to clean interior. Use spoon to remove paper towel. Rinse well.

Don't pour boiling water into your bottle, unless you want it to explode. BTDT.

Ah. Mine react all right.
But yes, one can put a metal knife in it, or maybe a shish kebab skewer, while pouring the boiling water. Something metal, they say.

This. I would also put some white vinegar in afterwards and let it sit for. 10 min. Before rinsing it out.

THanks everyone!
A baby bottle brush won't work - it is that narrow!!!
the bottom of the decantor is somewhat round and the mold is on the top part of the round part so I cannot get a skewer in and bend it once it is in.
I will try it though
THank you!

You can get different sizes if bottle brush, not all of them designed for baby bottles. I think you can even get curved ones.
You could also try sterilising tablets.

I would try what everyone else said - but you could also put in rice with a little water and cover and then shake really hard. It sometimes helps to get the pieces that are stuck to dislodge. Of course also do all the disinfecting things that other have mentioned. I have also used the knife covered in paper towels to clean the bottom of bottles.

Water, some soap, and rice. Cover the top and shake, shake, shake. The rice really works to dislodge all the stuck pieces.
Someone (zaq?) posted that as a tip when I was trying to clean a vase with a really narrow neck. Bit messy but works.

do you leave it to soak or do you just shake and shake till everything is off in one go?

There are various cleaning agents that you can put in and shake it around.
